Setup and Installation

The iSpring RCC7 system is designed for straightforward DIY installation. Follow these steps for proper setup.

Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure you have adequate space under your sink for the filter unit (15 x 8 x 18 inches) and the storage tank.
  • Verify your water pressure meets the system requirements (if low, a booster pump may be needed).
  • Gather necessary tools (drill, wrench, utility knife, etc.).

Installation Steps

For detailed visual instructions, refer to the official installation videos.

Connecting to a Refrigerator (Optional)

The iSpring ICEK (Ice Maker Kit) allows you to connect your RO system directly to your refrigerator for filtered water and ice.

This video demonstrates how to connect your iSpring filtration system to a refrigerator using the iSpring ICEK kit, providing crystal clear, odor-free ice cubes and filtered water directly from your fridge dispenser.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the iSpring RCC7 system operates automatically.

First Use

  • After installation, open the RO faucet and allow the tank to completely drain. This flushes out any carbon fines and air from the system.
  • Close the faucet and allow the tank to refill (this may take 2-3 hours).
  • Repeat the drain and refill process 2-3 times to ensure all air is purged and the filters are properly flushed.

Daily Use

  • Simply open the RO faucet to dispense purified water.
  • The system will automatically refill the storage tank as water is used.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and water quality.

Troubleshooting

Low Water Flow from Faucet

  • Check the storage tank pressure. If low, the tank may need to be recharged or replaced.
  • Inspect filters for clogging. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure all shut-off valves are fully open.

Poor Water Taste/Odor

  • Replace the Post Carbon filter (5th stage).
  • Ensure proper flushing after filter changes.
  • Check the RO membrane for degradation (replace if older than 2-3 years).

Leaks

  • Tighten all connections.
  • Inspect O-rings and fittings for damage.
  • Ensure the Leak Stop Valve (if installed) is not activated.
