4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the Quantum 2472C Wire Shelf is designed to be quick and tool-free when used with compatible posts and plastic shelf clips.

4.1. Required Tools and Components (Not Included)

• 4 x Vertical Posts (compatible with Quantum wire shelving)
• 8 x Plastic Shelf Clips (2 per corner, for one shelf)
• Rubber Mallet (optional, for secure seating)

4.2. Assembly Steps

1. Attach Foot Levelers: If your posts are new, screw the adjustable foot levelers into the bottom of each post. Ensure they are tightened but allow for future adjustment.
2. Mark Shelf Height: Determine the desired height for your shelf. The posts feature grooved increments, typically 1 inch apart. Mark the desired groove on each of the four posts.
3. Install Shelf Clips: Snap two plastic shelf clips around each post at the marked height, ensuring the arrows on the clips point upwards. The clips should fit snugly into the grooves.
4. Position the Shelf: Carefully lower the wire shelf over the posts, aligning the corner collars of the shelf with the installed plastic clips.
5. Secure the Shelf: Press down firmly on each corner of the shelf until it seats securely over the plastic clips. You may use a rubber mallet to gently tap the corners for a tight fit, ensuring the shelf is level.
6. Adjust Levelers (if needed): Once the shelf is assembled, check for stability. If the unit wobbles, adjust the foot levelers by turning them clockwise or counter-clockwise until the unit is stable and level.

4. Re-seat Shelf: Lower the shelf back onto the clips, ensuring all four corners are properly engaged. Tap gently with a rubber mallet if necessary to secure.
