Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this product.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or heating base in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- To disconnect, turn any control to 'OFF', then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated foods into a heated pot.
- The lid and stoneware are removable for easy cleaning.
- CAUTION: To prevent damage or shock hazard, do not cook in the heating base. Cook only in the stoneware provided.
- WARNING: Spilled food can cause serious burns. Keep appliance and cord away from children. Never drape cord over edge of counter, never use outlet below counter, and never use with an extension cord.

Before First Use
Before using your slow cooker for the first time, follow these steps:
- Remove all packaging components and labels.
- Wash the removable stoneware and glass lid in warm, soapy water with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly and use.
Operating Instructions
Cooking
- Place the stoneware into the heating base.
- Add your ingredients to the stoneware.
- Place the lid on the stoneware. Do not lock the lid during cooking. The lid-locking system is for transport only.
- Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
- Select the desired temperature setting (LOW or HIGH) using the control dial.
- Cook for the recommended time according to your recipe.
- Once cooking is complete, you may switch the dial to the WARM setting to keep food at a serving temperature. The WARM setting is not for cooking.
- To turn off the slow cooker, turn the control dial to the OFF position and unplug the unit from the wall outlet.
Using the Cook & Carry Feature
The Cook & Carry feature allows for secure transport of your cooked meals.
- Ensure cooking is complete and the slow cooker is unplugged.
- Place the lid securely on the stoneware.
- Engage the lid-locking latches on both sides of the heating base. These latches will hold the lid firmly in place.
- Use the integrated handles on the heating base to carry the slow cooker.
- Important: Always ensure the lid is properly locked before transporting.

Care and Cleaning
Proper care and cleaning will ensure the longevity of your slow cooker.
- Always turn the slow cooker to OFF, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- The removable stoneware and glass lid are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
- For stubborn food residue, fill the stoneware with warm water and allow it to soak for a few hours before cleaning.
- The heating base should be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the heating base in water or other liquids.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads, as they may scratch surfaces.
