1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Stainless Steel Quartz Watch, Model 6981. 2. Components Overview

Familiarize yourself with the key components of your Invicta Pro Diver watch:

3. Setup and Initial Operation

3.1 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click position.
  2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position to start the watch.

3.2 Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click position.
  2. Rotate the crown (usually counter-clockwise) to set the date.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position.

3.3 Chronograph Hand Reset

If the chronograph hands (seconds, minutes, 24-hour) are not aligned to the zero position after resetting, follow these steps:

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click position.
  2. Press the upper pusher (A) to adjust the chronograph second hand to the zero position.
  3. Press the lower pusher (B) to adjust the chronograph minute and 24-hour hands to the zero position.
  4. Once all hands are aligned, push the crown back in to the normal position.

4. Operating the Watch

4.1 Using the Chronograph

The chronograph function allows for precise timing of events.

  • Start/Stop: Press the upper pusher (A) to start the chronograph. Press it again to stop.
  • Reset: While the chronograph is stopped, press the lower pusher (B) to reset all chronograph hands to zero.

4.2 Using the Unidirectional Bezel

The rotating bezel can be used to measure elapsed time. Rotate the bezel so that the zero marker aligns with the minute hand. As time passes, the minute hand will indicate the elapsed time on the bezel's scale.

4.3 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). It is suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing, and water sports. It is not suitable for diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any water exposure.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning Your Watch

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the silicone band, a mild soap and water solution can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.

5.2 Water Resistance Care

Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the water-resistant seals. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before the watch comes into contact with water.

5.3 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by an SR920SW battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to jump erratically, it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
