Setup and Installation
Proper installation ensures optimal performance and longevity of your watering timer.
1. Battery Installation
The timer requires a 9V alkaline battery (not included). Ensure the battery is new at the beginning of each watering season.
- Press the two side buttons on the timer to open the unit.
- Connect a new 9V alkaline battery to the connector inside the unit.
- Fit the battery securely into its pocket and close the cover with light pressure until it clicks into place.
- Upon battery connection, the display will turn on, and the valve will open for approximately 2 seconds before the timer clock automatically resets to 00:00.
2. Timer Installation on Water Tap
Attach the timer securely to your outdoor water tap.
- Screw the timer onto the water tap.
- Fully tighten the ring nut by hand. No tools are required for this step.
- Connect your garden hoses to the provided fittings at the bottom of the timer.
- Remember to turn on the water tap after installation.

3. Filter Cleaning
The timer is protected by a wire mesh filter to ensure long-lasting, trouble-free operation. Regular cleaning is recommended.
- Unscrew the ring nut at the top of the timer.
- Remove the filter from its seat.
- Wash the filter thoroughly under running water to remove any debris.
- Reinsert the clean filter and tighten the ring nut.
Operating Instructions
The Claber Aquadue Duplo Evolution operates two independent lines (Line A and Line B) and is programmed using just three buttons: Forward, Back, and Enter. All data is shown on a clear LCD display.
Setting Current Time
- Press the ENTER button.
- Use the FORWARD (▲) and BACK (▼) arrow keys to set the current time.
- Press ENTER again to confirm the set time.
Daily Programming
The timer allows for up to six daily programs (three for Line A: 1, 3, 5; and three for Line B: 2, 4, 6).
- From the main screen, press the FORWARD (▲) arrow key to display Program 1 on Line A.
- Press ENTER. Use the FORWARD (▲) and BACK (▼) arrow keys to set the desired OPEN (start) time for the program. Press ENTER to confirm.
- Press the FORWARD (▲) arrow key again to display the CLOSED (end) time. Press ENTER. Use the FORWARD (▲) and BACK (▼) arrow keys to set the desired end time. Press ENTER to confirm.
- Repeat these steps for programs 3 and 5 on Line A, and programs 2, 4, and 6 on Line B.
Weekly Programming
This function allows you to skip watering on specific days of the week. This setting applies to both lines.
- From the main screen, press the FORWARD (▲) arrow key until the weekly programming screen is displayed (showing days 1-7). Day 1 corresponds to the day the first watering program is set.
- Press ENTER.
- Use the FORWARD (▲) or BACK (▼) arrow keys to position the cursor under the day you wish to skip.
- Press ENTER to cancel watering for that selected day. Repeat for other days as needed.
- To exit the weekly programming page, position the cursor under "EXIT" (if available, or navigate back to time setting) and press ENTER.
Manual Function
The manual function allows you to water plants on demand without affecting your set programs. Each manual operation runs for 15 minutes.
- From the main screen, press the FORWARD (▲) arrow key until the manual programming screen is displayed.
- Press ENTER.
- Use the BACK (▼) button to open Line A manually. The display will show "A OPEN".
- Use the FORWARD (▲) button to close Line A manually. The display will show "A CLOSED".
- To switch to Line B, press the FORWARD (▲) arrow key. The display will show "B".
- Use the BACK (▼) button to open Line B manually. The display will show "B OPEN".
- Use the FORWARD (▲) button to close Line B manually. The display will show "B CLOSED".
- To exit the manual function for a line, press ENTER.
Note: If left open, the valve will automatically close after 15 minutes.
Viewing Programs
- From the main screen, repeatedly press the FORWARD (▲) key button. The display will cycle through all set start and end times for both Line A and Line B, as well as the weekly programming and manual function screens.

Maintenance
Winter Protection
To protect your timer from freezing temperatures and ensure its longevity, follow these steps at the end of the warm season, before the first winter frosts:
- Turn off the water supply to the tap where the timer is installed.
- Disconnect the timer from the tap.
- Remove the 9V battery from the timer.
- Store the timer indoors in a dry place, sheltered from freezing temperatures and dampness.

Rain Sensor (Optional Accessory)
The Claber Aquadue Duplo Evolution timer can be connected to an optional Claber Rain Sensor (Model 90915, sold separately). This sensor automatically suspends the watering program in case of rain and resumes it when the weather turns fine again, preventing overwatering and conserving water.
Connecting the Rain Sensor:
- Open the timer unit by pressing the two side buttons.
- Locate the sensor socket inside the timer.
- Remove the factory-installed jumper from the sensor socket.
- Connect the rain sensor lead to the socket provided. No tools are required.
- Close the timer unit cover securely.
