Setup

Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
- Locate the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Slide the latch to open the cover.
- Insert the supplied battery into the battery slot, ensuring the correct orientation as indicated inside the compartment.
- Insert an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card into the memory card slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted with the label facing the correct direction.
- Close the compartment cover securely until it latches.

Operating the Camera
Powering On/Off
To power on the camera, slide the ON/OFF switch located on the top panel. To power off, slide the switch back to the OFF position.

Taking Photos
- Turn on the camera.
- Frame your shot using the 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD.
- The camera features Intelligent Auto (iA) Mode, which automatically selects the optimal scene mode (e.g., Portrait, Scenery, Macro) and adjusts settings like MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) and Intelligent ISO Control for best results.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The camera utilizes Sonic Speed AF for fast autofocus.
- Press the shutter button fully down to capture the image.
Using the Touchscreen
The 2.7-inch, 230,000-dot high-resolution LCD is a touchscreen, allowing for intuitive operation. You can tap to select focus points, navigate menus, and review images. Features like Macro Zoom and Selectable Focus Icon are accessible via touch.
Video Recording
To record video, switch to video mode (if available via a dedicated button or menu option). Press the shutter button to start and stop recording. The camera supports video resolutions up to 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second (MJPEG format).
Image Playback and Review
Press the playback button to view captured images and videos. You can use the touchscreen to swipe through photos or zoom in/out. The camera also supports Slideshow with Music.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Camera
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry. Avoid using organic solvents.
- Lens: Use a lens brush to remove dust, then gently wipe with a lens cleaning cloth. Do not touch the lens with your fingers.
- LCD Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid pressing hard on the screen.
Battery Care
To maximize battery life, avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures. Charge the battery fully before use. If the camera will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery.
Troubleshooting
