4. Setup & Installation

This wall sconce is designed for hardwired installation. Professional installation is recommended for safety and proper functionality.

4.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

4.2 Installation Steps

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the desired installation location and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box in the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Wire Connections:
    • Connect the ground wire (usually bare copper or green) from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the hot wire (usually black) from the fixture to the hot wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the neutral wire (usually white) from the fixture to the neutral wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Ensure all wire nuts are tightly secured and connections are insulated with electrical tape if necessary.
  4. Attach Fixture: Carefully tuck the wires into the junction box. Align the fixture base with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
  5. Install Shade: Attach the fabric shade to the fixture according to the specific design.
  6. Install Bulb: Insert one 3-way 150W Medium base bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not exceed the maximum wattage.
  7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

5. Operation

5.1 Turning On/Off

The wall sconce is operated by a push-button controller, typically located on the fixture itself. Press the button to cycle through the light settings (if using a 3-way bulb) or to turn the light on and off.

5.2 Adjusting the Swing Arm

The fixture features a swing arm that allows you to adjust the position of the light. Gently move the arm to the desired angle. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the mechanism.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

6.2 Bulb Replacement

  • Allow to Cool: Allow the old bulb to cool completely before touching it.
