Basic Microwave Operation

1. Place food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
2. Close the oven door securely.
3. For quick cooking, press an Express Cook button (1-6) for 1 to 6 minutes of cooking at 100% power. Or, press Add 30 Sec to start cooking for 30 seconds.
4. For custom cooking time, press Time Cook, enter the desired time using the number pad, then press Start.
5. To adjust power level, press Power Level, enter a number from 1 to 10 (10 being 100%), then press Start.

Defrosting

The microwave offers both weight and time defrost options:

• Weight Defrost: Press Defrost Auto/Time once, enter the weight of the food (in pounds), then press Start. The oven automatically calculates the defrosting time.
• Time Defrost: Press Defrost Auto/Time twice, enter the desired defrosting time, then press Start.

Sensor Cooking

For optimal results with popular foods, use the Sensor Cooking controls. Simply place the food in the microwave, close the door, and press the corresponding button (e.g., Popcorn, Beverage, Reheat). Child Lock Feature

The GE JES2051SNSS microwave includes a two-step child lock safety feature. To activate the child lock, press and hold the '7' button for 5 seconds until a beep sounds, then press '9' and '0' consecutively. The display will show 'UnLo' (Unlocked) or a lock icon when active.
