Setup: Setting the Combination Lock
The NanoVault NV300 comes with a factory-set combination of "000". Follow these steps to set your personalized three-number combination:
- Ensure the safe is open. Set the lock knob in the horizontal (open) position.
- Locate the combination set switch on the back plate of the lock mechanism. Move this switch from position "A" to position "B".
- Use the three combination number wheels to set your desired personal combination.
- Turn the lock knob from the horizontal (open) position to the vertical (locked) position.
- Return the combination set switch from position "B" to position "A".
- Your new combination is now set. Test the new combination several times with the safe open before closing it.

Operating Instructions
Opening and Closing the Safe
- To open the safe, dial your set three-number combination on the wheels.
- Turn the lock knob to the horizontal (open) position. The lid will release.
- To close the safe, ensure the lid is properly aligned and press down firmly until it latches.
- Scramble the combination wheels to secure the safe.
Using the Security Cable
The NanoVault is supplied with a 1500 lb test security cable for added security. This cable allows you to tether the safe to a fixed object, preventing easy removal.
- Loop the security cable around a secure, fixed object (e.g., a car seat frame, desk leg).
- Feed the cable's looped end through the slot on the side of the NanoVault.
- Close and lock the safe. When the cable is wrapped around a fixed object and slid over the lock receiver inside the security box, both the NanoVault and its contents will be securely attached.
