Operating Instructions

To effectively remove static charge, follow these steps:

1. Hold the Item in Free Space: For optimal results, ensure the item you are treating (e.g., a vinyl record) is held in free space and not in contact with any surface that could allow electrons to be lost or gained (such as a turntable platter). This ensures a complete discharge.
2. Position the Gun: Hold the Milty Zerostat 3 approximately 12 inches (30 cm) from the surface of the item you wish to de-staticize.
3. Slow Squeeze: Gently and slowly squeeze the trigger of the gun. A positive charge will be emitted from the gun's tip and applied to the surface. It is crucial to squeeze the trigger slowly and progressively without allowing the unit to "click."
4. Slow Release: Slowly release the trigger. An equally large negative charge will be emitted and applied to the surface. Again, ensure a slow and progressive release.
5. Repeat for Full Discharge: Repeat the slow squeeze and slow release process approximately four times to ensure the original static charge on the item is completely neutralized, leaving it totally free of static.

This two-phase process (positive charge on squeeze, negative charge on release) ensures a net charge of near zero on the treated surface.
