1. Safety Information

Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before operating the lawn mower. Failure to follow instructions can result in serious injury.

2. Setup

2.1 Assembly

The Greenworks 25022 lawn mower requires minimal assembly. Typically, only the handle needs to be affixed to the main unit. No specialized tools are required for this process.

2.2 Extension Cord Requirement

For optimal performance, use a 14 gauge 50' or 12 gauge 100' extension cord. The extension cord is not included with the mower. Ensure the cord is rated for outdoor use and is in good condition.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Starting the Mower

1. Connect the appropriate extension cord to the mower's power inlet and a suitable outdoor power outlet. Utilize the integrated cord lock to prevent accidental disconnects.
2. Press and hold the push-button start.
3. While holding the push-button, pull the safety lever towards the handle. The mower will start.
4. Release the push-button, but continue to hold the safety lever to keep the mower running.

3.2 Adjusting Cutting Height

The mower features a single-lever 7-position height adjustment mechanism. This allows you to easily change the cutting height from 1.5 inches up to 3.75 inches to achieve your desired lawn appearance.

3.3 Mowing Options (3-in-1 System)

This mower offers versatile 3-in-1 mowing capabilities:

• Mulching: Finely cuts grass clippings and redistributes them back onto the lawn as natural fertilizer.
• Rear Bagging: Collects grass clippings in the attached rear bag for easy disposal.
• Side Discharge: Disperses grass clippings out of the side of the mower.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Greenworks lawn mower.

• Cleaning the Deck: After each use, disconnect the power cord and carefully tip the mower to clean the underside of the cutting deck. Remove any accumulated grass clippings to prevent buildup and ensure efficient cutting.
• Blade Care: Periodically inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A sharp blade ensures a clean cut and reduces strain on the motor. Replace or sharpen the blade as needed. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full product manual for blade removal and installation.
• Motor Compartment: Regularly check and clean the motor compartment to prevent grass and debris accumulation, which can affect performance and lead to overheating.
