Operating the Chronograph Function

Your Breil Milano BW0510 watch features a 3-hand chronograph movement for measuring elapsed time.

  • Press the top pusher to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  • The subdials will display elapsed minutes and hours.

2. Stopping and Resetting the Chronograph

  • To stop the chronograph, press the top pusher again. The chronograph hands will stop, indicating the elapsed time.
  • To reset the chronograph, press the bottom pusher. All chronograph hands will return to their zero positions.

3. Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 200 meters (660 feet), making it suitable for recreational scuba diving. Ensure the crown and pushers are fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged.

Maintenance and Care

1. Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For water-resistant models, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying. Avoid using chemical cleaners, as they may damage the watch's finish or seals.

2. Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a quartz movement. When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to take the watch to an authorized service center or a qualified watchmaker. This ensures proper battery installation and re-sealing for water resistance.

3. Water Resistance Checks

To maintain the stated water resistance, it is advisable to have the watch's seals checked and replaced by a professional every 2-3 years, especially if the watch is frequently exposed to water.

4. Strap Care

The genuine leather strap should be kept dry and clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or moisture, as these can cause the leather to crack or discolor.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in (position 0). If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
  • Incorrect Time/Date: Refer to the "Setting the Time" and "Setting the Date" sections to re-adjust. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after adjustment.
  • Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero: This may indicate a need for chronograph hand calibration. Consult an authorized service center.
  • Condensation Inside Crystal: This indicates a loss of water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a service center to prevent further damage.
