2. Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel houses the power input, speaker terminals, and antenna connections:
- Bluetooth Antenna: Connect the included Bluetooth antenna for optimal wireless range.
- Speaker Output Terminals (COM, 8Ω, 25V, 70V): Connect your speakers here. Refer to the "Speaker Connection" section for detailed wiring instructions.
- Voltage Switch: Pre-set for North America (110V). Ensure this matches your local power supply.
- AC Input: Connect the detachable AC power cable here.
- FM Antenna: Connect the included FM antenna for radio reception.
- Fuse Box: Contains the safety fuse. Refer to troubleshooting for replacement.
3. Speaker Connection

The PCM20A amplifier supports various speaker configurations:
- Standard 8 Ohm Speakers: Connect the positive (+) wire of your 8-ohm speaker(s) to the '8Ω' terminal and the negative (-) wire to the 'COM' (Common) terminal.
- 25V/70V Public Address Speakers: For PA systems with multiple speakers, connect the positive (+) wire of your 25V or 70V transformer-equipped speakers to the corresponding '25V' or '70V' terminal, and the negative (-) wire to the 'COM' (Common) terminal. This allows for even sound distribution over long distances and with multiple speakers.
- Note: The instruction manual diagram (visible on the rear panel) provides guidance for series or parallel wiring depending on your speaker type and desired setup. Ensure correct polarity for all connections.
4. Bluetooth Connection

To connect your device via Bluetooth:
- Ensure the Bluetooth antenna is securely connected to the rear panel.
- Power on the PCM20A amplifier.
- Press the 'MODE' button on the front panel until 'BLUE' appears on the LED display, indicating Bluetooth mode.
- On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, search for available Bluetooth devices.
- Select 'Pyle PCM20A' (or similar name) from the list to pair.
- Once paired, you can stream audio wirelessly from your device. The amplifier supports a range of 30+ feet.
5. Multiple Input Sources

The amplifier offers diverse input options:
- Microphone Inputs (MIC-1 IN, MIC-2 IN): Connect 1/4-inch microphones for public address or karaoke. Adjust individual microphone volumes using the dedicated knobs. MIC-1 features automatic talkover priority.
- Auxiliary Input (AUX IN): Connect external audio sources like CD players, DVD players, or tuners using a 1/4-inch audio cable. Adjust volume with the AUX knob.
- USB/SD Card MP3 Player: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD slot for direct MP3 playback. Use the MP3 function buttons (Mode, Play, Prev, Next) to control playback.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
Press the POWER switch on the front panel to turn the amplifier on or off. The LED display will illuminate when the unit is powered on.
2. Selecting Input Source
Press the MODE button on the front panel to cycle through available input sources: Bluetooth (BLUE), USB, SD, FM, and AUX. The selected mode will be shown on the LED display.
3. Adjusting Volume and Tone
- Microphone Volume: Use the MIC-1 and MIC-2 rotary knobs to adjust the volume of connected microphones independently.
- Auxiliary/Media Volume: Use the AUX rotary knob to adjust the volume of the selected audio source (Bluetooth, USB, SD, FM, or AUX input).
- Treble and Bass: Use the TREBLE and BASS rotary knobs to fine-tune the high and low frequencies of the overall audio output to your preference.
4. Using the Microphone Talkover Function
The MIC-1 input features an automatic talkover (priority) function. When a microphone is connected to MIC-1 and activated, the background music volume will automatically decrease, allowing the microphone audio to be heard clearly. The music volume will return to normal when microphone use stops.
5. MP3 Playback (USB/SD)
Insert a USB flash drive or SD card containing MP3 audio files into the respective port/slot. The amplifier will automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playback. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, PREV (previous track), and NEXT (next track) buttons to control playback.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cable not connected; Blown fuse; Power switch off. | Ensure power cable is securely connected. Check and replace fuse if necessary. Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position. |
| No sound output | Incorrect input selected; Speaker wires loose or incorrectly connected; Volume too low; Mute activated. | Select the correct input mode. Check all speaker connections for proper polarity and secure fit. Increase volume knobs (MIC, AUX, Master). Ensure unit is not muted. |
| Poor sound quality / Distortion | Input source quality; Speaker impedance mismatch; Volume too high (clipping). | Test with a different audio source. Verify speaker impedance matches amplifier output. Reduce volume to prevent distortion. Adjust Treble/Bass controls. |
| Bluetooth not connecting | Amplifier not in Bluetooth mode; Device too far; Interference; Device already paired. | Ensure amplifier is in 'BLUE' mode. Move device closer to the amplifier. Avoid obstacles. Disconnect from other Bluetooth devices and try pairing again. |
| Microphone talkover not working | Microphone not connected to MIC-1; MIC-1 volume too low. | Ensure microphone is connected to the MIC-1 input. Increase the MIC-1 volume. |
