2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

4.2 Installation Steps

1. Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box controlling the power to the installation area and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Prepare Mounting Location: Determine the desired location for the bollard. Ensure the surface is stable and can support the fixture. Run the 120 Volt electrical supply wire to the mounting location, leaving sufficient length for connections.
3. Secure Mounting Hardware: Using appropriate mounting hardware (not included), secure the bollard base to the prepared surface. Ensure the base is level and stable.
4. Make Electrical Connections: The fixture is pre-wired with UL listed wire/cable. Connect the fixture's wires to the main power supply wires according to local electrical codes:
   • Connect the black wire (hot) from the fixture to the black wire (hot) from the supply.
   • Connect the white wire (neutral) from the fixture to the white wire (neutral) from the supply.
   • Connect the green or bare copper wire (ground) from the fixture to the green or bare copper wire (ground) from the supply.
   Secure all connections with approved wire connectors and wrap with electrical tape for added insulation and moisture protection.
5. Install Lamp: Carefully screw one (1) 60-watt maximum incandescent lamp (not included) into the fixture's socket. Do not overtighten.
6. Assemble Fixture: Secure the ribbed, frosted, tempered glass lens and any other covers or components as per the fixture design. Ensure all seals are properly seated for wet location protection.
7. Seal (Optional but Recommended for Wet Locations): Apply a bead of weatherproof silicone sealant around the base of the bollard where it meets the mounting surface to prevent water intrusion.
8. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
9. Test Operation: Turn on the light switch to verify the bollard is functioning correctly.

5. Operating Instructions

The Dabmar Lighting D3100-B Bollard operates by a standard 120 Volt electrical switch (not included). Once properly installed and connected to a power source, the bollard can be turned on and off using the wall switch or external timer/photocell connected to the circuit.
