Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS FE-46 12MP Digital Camera. The FE-46 is designed to capture high-quality images with its 12-megapixel sensor and 5x optical zoom lens.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
The OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS FE-46 uses two AA alkaline batteries.
Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.
Insert two AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.
Note: For optimal performance, use fresh alkaline batteries. Rechargeable NiMH batteries can also be used.
2. Memory Card Insertion
The camera supports both xD-Picture Card and microSD memory cards (not included). A microSD adapter (MASD-1) is included for microSD card use.
Locate the memory card slot, usually near the battery compartment.
Insert the memory card (or microSD card with MASD-1 adapter) into the slot until it clicks. Ensure the card is oriented correctly.
To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.
Caution: Do not force the memory card. Incorrect insertion can damage the card or camera.
3. Initial Power On and Date/Time Setting
After inserting batteries and a memory card:
Press the ON/OFF button located on the top of the camera.
The LCD screen will power on. If this is the first use, you will be prompted to set the date and time.
Use the directional buttons to navigate and the OK/FUNC button to confirm settings.
Set the correct date, time, and time zone.

Operating Instructions
1. Taking Basic Photos
Turn on the camera by pressing the ON/OFF button.
Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The camera will emit a beep and the focus indicator will light up when focus is achieved.
Press the shutter button fully down to capture the image.

2. Zoom Function
The camera features a 5x optical zoom.
To zoom in, push the T (Telephoto) side of the zoom lever.
To zoom out, push the W (Wide-angle) side of the zoom lever.
