Introduction
Launch into a new universe of gravity warping worlds in the sequel to one of the greatest games of all time! Yoshi joins Mario as they traverse a wild variety of galaxies exploding with imagination, helping out our hero as he gulps enemies, runs at super speed, or inflates like a blimp to reach high cliff tops. Whether Mario’s leaping into orbit around tiny micro-planets, tumbling through rooms with constantly flip-flopping gravity, or drilling through craggy worlds to emerge on the other side, he’ll need new abilities and serious jumping skills to survive the all-new challenges ahead!

- Gently insert the Super Mario Galaxy 2 game disc into the Wii console's disc slot with the label facing up. The console will automatically load the game.
2. Wii Remote Synchronization

Then, open the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote and press the red SYNC button inside. The player LED on the remote will flash and then light up when synchronization is complete.

Operating the Game
Basic Gameplay
Super Mario Galaxy 2 expands on the unique gravity-based platforming of its predecessor. Players control Mario (and sometimes Luigi) as they navigate various galaxies, collecting Power Stars to progress. The game features a mix of 3D and 2D platforming sections, offering diverse challenges.
Yoshi's Abilities
Yoshi joins Mario on his adventure, providing new gameplay mechanics. When Mario finds an egg, he can hatch Yoshi and ride him. Yoshi can use his tongue to grab items and enemies, or to swing across chasms.
- Dash Pepper: When Yoshi eats a Dash Pepper, he gains incredible speed, allowing Mario and Yoshi to run up steep inclines and vertical walls.
- Blimp Fruit: Consuming a Blimp Fruit causes Yoshi to inflate like a balloon, enabling him to float to higher areas.
- Bulb Berry: Eating a Bulb Berry makes Yoshi glow, revealing hidden paths and platforms, particularly useful in dark or spooky levels.

- Rock Mushroom: Transforms Mario into Rock Mario, allowing him to roll at high speeds and smash through obstacles.
- Cloud Mario: Grants Mario the ability to create temporary cloud platforms in mid-air, useful for reaching new heights or crossing gaps.
