3. Setup
3.1. Charging the Battery
Before initial use, fully charge the included lithium-ion battery. Insert the battery into the camera and connect the camera to a power source using the provided USB cable and an AC adapter (sold separately) or a computer. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
3.2. Inserting a Memory Card
The FE-3000 supports both xD-Picture Card and microSD memory cards. Open the memory card slot cover, insert the memory card in the correct orientation until it clicks into place, and then close the cover securely.

3.3. Setting Date and Time
Upon first power-on or after the battery has been removed for an extended period, you will be prompted to set the date and time. Use the camera's navigation buttons to adjust the settings and confirm.
4. Operating the Camera
4.1. Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button located on the top of the camera to power it on or off.

4.2. Basic Shooting
To take a picture:
- Turn on the camera.
- Frame your shot using the 2.7-inch LCD monitor.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus indicator will illuminate.
- Press the shutter button fully down to capture the image.

4.5. Video Recording
The FE-3000 can record VGA-quality videos with sound. To start recording, switch to video mode (usually indicated by a movie camera icon) and press the shutter button.
