Setup
Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the SoundDock system on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

Connecting Power
- Connect the power cord to the power supply.
- Plug the power supply into the DC IN jack on the back of the SoundDock system.
- Plug the power cord into a wall outlet. The system is now ready for use.
Docking an iPod or iPhone
The SoundDock Series II is designed for 30-pin iPod and iPhone models. For newer devices with a Lightning connector (e.g., iPhone 5, newer iPod Touch models), an Apple Lightning to 30-pin adapter is required (sold separately).
- Gently align your iPod or iPhone with the 30-pin connector in the docking station.
- Carefully seat the device onto the connector until it is firmly in place.
- The device will begin charging automatically when the SoundDock is powered on.

Connecting an Auxiliary Device
To connect an external audio source:
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the back of the SoundDock system.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Select the auxiliary input using the remote control or system buttons (if available).
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press the Power button on the remote control to turn the system on or off. When an iPod/iPhone is docked, removing it will also turn off the system.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the remote control or the corresponding buttons on the SoundDock system.
iPod/iPhone Playback
Once your device is docked and the system is on, music playback typically begins automatically. Use the remote control to:
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button.
- Next Track: Press the Skip Forward button.
- Previous Track: Press the Skip Backward button.
- Navigate Playlists: The remote allows basic navigation within your iPod/iPhone playlists.
Auxiliary Input Playback
When an auxiliary device is connected, select the auxiliary input mode. Playback is controlled directly from the connected auxiliary device.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the surface of the SoundDock system with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or sprays directly on the unit. Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
