Introduction

Product Overview

The Technoline WS 9140-IT consists of a main base station and a wireless outdoor sensor. The base station displays time, indoor temperature, and outdoor temperature. It also features control buttons for settings and functions.

Base Station Display Elements:

Time Display: Shows current time, synchronized via DCF-77 radio signal.
Indoor Temperature: Displays the temperature measured by the base station.
Outdoor Temperature: Displays the temperature received from the wireless sensor.
MIN/MAX Indicators: Shows recorded minimum and maximum temperatures.
Battery Indicator: Alerts when batteries are low.

Control Buttons:

SET: Enters setting mode.
ALARM: Activates/deactivates alarm and enters alarm setting mode.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

For the Outdoor Sensor (TX37-IT):

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the outdoor sensor.
Insert 2 x AA Mignon LR06 batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

For the Base Station (WS 9140-IT):

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the base station.
Insert 2 x AA Mignon LR06 batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Always insert batteries into the outdoor sensor first, then into the base station to ensure proper synchronization.

2. Sensor Placement

Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature readings. The maximum transmission distance is 100 meters in open air. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electrical appliances that may interfere with the signal.

3. Initial Synchronization (DCF-77 Radio Clock)

After battery installation, the base station will automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal. This process may take several minutes. Once the signal is received, the time will be set automatically. A radio tower icon will appear on the display, indicating successful synchronization.

4. Manual Time Setting (Optional)

If the radio signal is not available or if you prefer to set the time manually:

Press and hold the SET button until the hour digits flash.
Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the hour.
Press SET again to confirm and move to minute setting.
Use '+' or '-' to adjust the minutes.
Press SET to confirm and exit manual time setting.

5. Time Zone Adjustment

To adjust for different time zones (± 12 hours):

In normal time display mode, press and hold the SET button until the hour digits flash.
Press SET repeatedly until the time zone offset (e.g., '00') flashes.
Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the time zone offset.
Press SET to confirm and exit.

Operating Instructions

1. Reading Temperature

The current indoor and outdoor temperatures are continuously displayed on the base station's screen.

2. Minimum/Maximum Temperature Recording

The station automatically records the minimum and maximum indoor and outdoor temperatures since the last reset.

Press the MIN/MAX RESET button once to display the maximum recorded temperatures.
Press the MIN/MAX RESET button a second time to display the minimum recorded temperatures.
Press and hold the MIN/MAX RESET button to clear the recorded minimum and maximum values. The display will show the current temperatures, and new min/max values will begin recording.

3. Alarm Setting and Snooze Function

Setting the Alarm:

Press the ALARM button once to display the alarm time.
Press and hold the ALARM button until the alarm hour digits flash.
Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
Press ALARM again to confirm and move to alarm minute setting.
Use '+' or '-' to adjust the alarm minutes.
Press ALARM to confirm and exit alarm setting.

Activating/Deactivating the Alarm:

In normal time display mode, press the ALARM button repeatedly to toggle the alarm ON or OFF. An alarm icon will appear on the display when the alarm is active.

Snooze Function:

When the alarm sounds, press any button (except ALARM) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes.
To stop the alarm completely, press the ALARM button when it is sounding.

4. Low Battery Indicator

A low battery icon will appear on the display when the batteries in either the base station or the outdoor sensor need to be replaced. Replace all batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation and accurate readings.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears, replace the batteries in both the base station and the outdoor sensor. Use 2 x AA Mignon LR06 batteries for each unit. Ensure correct polarity during installation.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing. Ensure the units are dry before re-inserting batteries or operating.
