Setup: Replacing the Foil Screen and Cutters

Follow these steps to safely replace the foil screen and cutters on your Wahl shaver. It is recommended to perform this task over a clean, flat surface to prevent loss of small parts.

1. Removing the Old Foil Screen and Cutters

1. Ensure the shaver is turned off and unplugged from any power source.
2. Locate the release button on the side of the shaver, typically near the top where the foil head attaches.
3. Press the release button to detach the foil screen frame from the shaver body. Carefully pull the foil frame away.
4. With the foil frame removed, you will see the internal cutters. To remove each cutter, gently push down on it and turn it 90 degrees. This will disengage it from the drive stem. Lift the cutter off. Repeat for all cutters.

2. Installing the New Cutters and Foil Screen

1. Take a new cutter. Align it with the drive stem, push down, and turn it 90 degrees until it locks into place. Ensure it is securely seated. Repeat for all new cutters.
2. Take the new foil screen frame. Align it with the shaver body.
3. Gently press the foil screen frame onto the shaver body until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble.

Operating Your Shaver with New Parts

After replacing the foil screen and cutters, your shaver is ready for use. For optimal performance:

• Ensure your skin is clean and dry before shaving.
• Hold the shaver at a right angle to your skin and move it against the direction of hair growth.
• Apply gentle pressure; excessive force is not necessary and can reduce the lifespan of the foil.
• For longer stubble, consider trimming with a beard trimmer first before using the electric shaver for a closer finish.
