Operating Instructions

Pitting Cherries

  1. Prepare Cherries: Wash fresh, preserved, or frozen cherries. Ensure they are free from stems and leaves.
  2. Load Cherries: Place cherries into the fruit feeding tray. The design allows two cherries to automatically slide into the pitting position.
  3. Pit Cherries: Press down firmly and smoothly on the operating handle. The two coated aluminum plungers will push the pits out of the cherries and into the collection container below.
  4. Release and Repeat: Release the handle. The pitted cherries will exit the device, and new cherries will slide into position. Repeat the process until all cherries are pitted.

Pitting Plums

  1. Install Plum Insert: Before pitting plums, remove the cherry pitting unit (if installed) and insert the cross-shaped plum pitting knife into the designated slot. Ensure it is securely in place.
  2. Prepare Plums: Wash fresh, preserved, or frozen plums. Small to medium-sized plums work best.
  3. Load Plums: Place one plum at a time into the designated plum opening.
  4. Pit Plums: Press down firmly and smoothly on the operating handle. The cross-shaped knife will cut the plum and separate the pit, making it suitable for baking. The pit will fall into the collection container.
  5. Release and Repeat: Release the handle and remove the pitted plum. Repeat the process for remaining plums.
