Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the device.
2. Open the cover and insert two (2) AA Alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

2. Mounting and Placement

The LZR310-XJ can be placed on a flat surface or attached to a wall using the provided wall mount.

• Surface Placement: Place the laser level on a stable, flat surface. Use the adjustable feet on the tripod base to fine-tune the level.
• Wall Mounting: Attach the wall mount to a suitable surface. Securely fasten the laser level to the wall mount.
• Use the integrated bubble levels (two horizontal, one vertical) to manually level the device before operation, as this model is not self-leveling.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

• To turn on the laser level, locate the power switch (usually a sliding switch or button) and move it to the "ON" position. The laser beam(s) will activate.
• To turn off the laser level, move the power switch to the "OFF" position.

2. Using Laser Lines

The LZR310-XJ projects both horizontal and vertical laser lines.

• Once powered on and manually leveled using the bubble vials, the device will project a clear laser line.
• Depending on the model's controls, you may be able to select horizontal, vertical, or both lines simultaneously. Refer to the markings on the device for specific button functions.
• The visible range of the laser beam is approximately 3 meters. Ensure your working area is within this range for optimal visibility.

3. Manual Leveling

This model does not feature automatic self-leveling. Accurate measurements depend on careful manual leveling.

1. Place the laser level on a stable surface or mount it securely.
2. Adjust the device using its base or the leveling plate until the air bubbles in all three vials (two horizontal, one vertical) are centered.
3. Periodically check the bubble levels during operation to ensure continued accuracy.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

• Keep the laser level clean and free from dust and debris.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Ensure the laser aperture is clean for optimal beam clarity. Use a soft, lint-free cloth if necessary.

2. Storage

• When not in use, store the laser level in its carrying bag to protect it from dust and impact.
• Store the device in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures.
• Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

• No Laser Beam:
  • Check if the batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure the power switch is in the "ON" position.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  • Verify that the device is manually leveled using the bubble vials.
  • Ensure the surface the device is on is stable and not vibrating.
  • Check if the laser aperture is clean and unobstructed.
• Faint or Flickering Laser:
  • Batteries may be low. Replace with fresh AA Alkaline batteries.
