4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Placement: Place the boiler unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  3. Water Filling:
    • Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool.
    • Unscrew the boiler cap.
    • Using the provided funnel, carefully fill the boiler with clean tap water. Do not overfill. Use the dipstick to ensure the water level is at the recommended mark (typically 1 liter). Overfilling can cause water to spit out with steam.
    • Securely replace the boiler cap.
  4. Connecting the Iron: Ensure the steam hose is securely connected to both the iron and the boiler unit.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Flip the 'Boiler' switch to the 'ON' position. The unit will begin to heat the water. This process typically takes approximately 10 minutes to reach optimal steam pressure.
  2. Steam Ready Indicator: The 'Steam Ready' indicator light will illuminate when the unit has reached its operating pressure and is ready to produce steam.
  3. Activating Steam: Once the 'Steam Ready' light is on, you can activate steam by pressing the steam button on the iron's handle.
  4. Temperature Settings: Adjust the iron's temperature dial according to the fabric type. For delicate fabrics like nylon, use lower settings. Note that at very low iron settings, some water may come out with the steam. This is less common at silk settings and above.
  5. Efficient Performance Mode (if applicable): For models with this feature (e.g., 4100IS and 5100IS series), this mode maintains a steady performance level of 2 bars (29 PSI), conserving energy. Activate by switching to 'ON' when ready; it will reach full performance quickly. Do not use this mode for dry ironing; it's intended to maintain a steady readiness.
  6. Ironing: Glide the iron over the fabric, applying steam as needed. The powerful steam will quickly remove wrinkles.
  7. Pausing: Use the heat-resistant silicone pad to safely rest the iron during pauses in ironing.
  8. Power Off: When finished, turn off the 'Boiler' and 'Steam' switches, then unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Allow the unit to cool completely before storing.
