Maintenance
Cleaning the Trimmer:
- After each use, turn off the trimmer and remove any attached guide combs.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blades and the trimmer body.
- For the nose/ear trimmer, the head can be rinsed under running water (ensure the unit is off and angled downward). Allow to air dry completely before storing.
- Do not rinse the main beard trimmer unit under water.
Oiling the Blades:
- Regularly oil the blades of the beard trimmer to maintain optimal performance and sharpness.
- Apply a few drops of the included blade oil across the top of the blades.
- Turn on the trimmer for a few seconds to allow the oil to distribute evenly.
- Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Wahl trimmer, please consider the following common solutions:
- Trimmer not turning on: Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity. Replace old or depleted batteries with new ones.
- Poor cutting performance or pulling hair: The blades may need cleaning or oiling. Ensure there are no hair clogs. If the issue persists, the blades might be dull and require replacement (contact customer support for replacement parts).
- Excessive noise or vibration: Ensure the blade assembly is securely attached. Oiling the blades can also reduce noise.
