3. Operating Instructions

The TS9 Tube Screamer features three primary control knobs that allow you to shape your tone and overdrive characteristics.

Control KnobFunctionDescription
DRIVEAdjusts the amount of overdrive/distortion.Turning this knob clockwise increases the intensity of the overdrive, from a subtle crunch to a more saturated distortion.
TONEControls the tonal character (treble/bass balance).Adjusts the high-frequency content. Turning clockwise brightens the sound, while turning counter-clockwise mellows it out.
LEVELSets the overall output volume of the effect.Determines how loud the pedal's output is when engaged. Use this to balance the volume between the effect and your bypassed signal.

3.1 Engaging the Effect:

Press the large footswitch in the center of the pedal to toggle the effect on or off. A red LED indicator light will illuminate when the effect is active.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the pedal's exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: If using battery power, replace the 9V battery when the LED indicator dims or the sound quality degrades. Always disconnect cables when not in use to conserve battery life.
  • Storage: Store the pedal in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Care: Ensure all instrument cables are in good condition. Damaged cables can cause signal loss or unwanted noise.
