2. Important Safety Information
- Power Supply: Use only the specified AC adapter. Do not use any other power adapter.

3. Setup and Connections

3.2 Power Connection
- Connect the supplied AC adapter to the AC IN jack on the rear panel.
- Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting.
3.3 Trigger Input Connections
The TD-12 features 12 trigger inputs for connecting various V-Drum pads and cymbals.
- Connect your kick drum pad to the KICK input.
- Connect your snare drum pad to the SNARE input.
- Connect tom pads to TOM 1, TOM 2, TOM 3 inputs.
- Connect hi-hat pad to HI-HAT and hi-hat control pedal to HH CTRL.
- Connect crash cymbals to CRASH 1 and CRASH 2.
- Connect ride cymbal to RIDE.
- Additional pads can be connected to EDGE, AUX 1, and AUX 2.
3.4 Audio Output Connections
- Connect the MASTER OUT (L/MONO, R) jacks to your mixer, amplifier, or audio interface.
- Use the DIRECT OUT jacks for individual drum sounds to a multi-track recorder or mixer.
- Connect external audio devices (e.g., MP3 player) to the MIX IN jack for play-along.
3.5 MIDI Connections

- Connect the MIDI OUT/THRU to the MIDI IN of another device.

4.2 Powering On/Off
- To power on, press the POWER switch located on the rear panel.
- To power off, press the POWER switch again.

- Use the VALUE dial to change parameter values or navigate through menus.
- The F1-F5 buttons correspond to functions displayed on the bottom of the LCD screen.
- Use the EXIT button to go back to the previous screen.
- The SHIFT button, when held down, activates secondary functions of other buttons.
4.4 Selecting and Editing Drum Kits
- Press the DRUM KIT button to enter the Kit selection mode.
- Turn the VALUE dial to browse through the available drum kits.
- To edit a kit, press the EDIT button (often F5 or a dedicated button depending on screen).
- Utilize V-Editing for detailed sound customization, including drum material modeling and size selection.
4.5 Using the Sequencer
- Press the PATTERN button to select a rhythm pattern.
- Press PLAY to start playback and STOP to stop.
- Use the REC button to record your own performances.
- Adjust the tempo using the TEMPO button and VALUE dial.
- Activate the metronome with the CLICK button.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
