1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Installing Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the camera.
  2. Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as marked inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

Important: Always use fresh alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries. Old or mixed batteries may cause malfunction.

2.2 Inserting a Memory Card (SD Card)

The camera has 16 MB of internal memory. For extended storage, an SD (Secure Digital) memory card is recommended.

  1. Locate the SD card slot, usually adjacent to the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing the camera body, pushing gently until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, push the card in again until it springs out slightly, then pull it out.

Caution: Do not force the SD card. Incorrect insertion can damage the card or camera.

2.3 Initial Power On

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the camera.
  2. The 2.5-inch LCD display will illuminate.
  3. If prompted, set the date and time using the navigation buttons and confirm your selection.

3. Operation

3.1 Taking Photos

  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Frame your shot using the 2.5-inch LCD display.
  3. Press the Shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus indicator will appear on the screen.
  4. Press the Shutter button fully to capture the image.
