2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly typically requires two people and approximately one hour. All parts are numbered and individually packaged for ease of identification. A power drill may be helpful for attaching metal brackets to the tabletop, though a screwdriver is sufficient.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Verify against the package contents list.
2. Assemble Base Frame: Connect the metal leg components using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are firm but do not fully tighten screws until the entire frame is assembled.
3. Attach Tabletop: Secure the tabletop to the assembled base frame. Pay close attention to the orientation of the tabletop to ensure proper alignment for the tilt mechanism.
4. Install Height Adjustment Mechanism: Integrate the height adjustment components into the leg structure as per the diagrams.
5. Install Tilt Mechanism: Attach the tilt mechanism to the tabletop and frame.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Height Adjustment

The Interlink Plato Desk features a height-adjustable design, allowing the tabletop to be set between 62 cm (24.4 inches) and 93 cm (36.6 inches). To adjust the height:

1. Locate the height adjustment knobs or levers on the desk legs.
2. Loosen the mechanisms on both legs simultaneously.
3. Carefully raise or lower the tabletop to the desired height. Ensure both sides are adjusted evenly.
4. Tighten the adjustment mechanisms securely on both legs to lock the desk at the new height.

5.2. Tilt Function

The desk's writing surface can be tilted to various angles for ergonomic comfort, especially useful for drawing or reading. To adjust the tilt:

1. Locate the tilt adjustment mechanism, typically at the front edge of the tabletop.
2. Lift the front edge of the tabletop to engage the tilt mechanism.
3. Select the desired tilt angle by resting the tabletop in one of the available notches or positions.
4. To return the tabletop to a flat position, lift it to its highest tilt point, which will disengage the mechanism, allowing it to lay flat.

5.3. Using Accessories

• Basket Tray: Located beneath the tabletop, this perforated metal tray provides storage for books, documents, and other items.
• Pencil Tray: Integrated into the front edge of the tabletop, this tray is designed to hold pens, pencils, and small stationery items.
• Satchel Holder: A hook-like attachment on the side of the desk frame, designed to hold a schoolbag or satchel. It can be mounted on either side of the desk.
