2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when using any ladder. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in serious injury or death. Adhere to all ANSI and OSHA safety standards.
General Safety Rules:
- Inspect the ladder before each use for any damage or defects. Do not use a damaged ladder.
- Ensure all four feet are on a firm, level surface.
- Fully open the stepladder and lock all spreader braces before climbing.
- Maintain three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand) while climbing or descending.
- Do not stand on or above the second step from the top. The top cap and the step below it are not designed for standing.
- Do not overreach. Keep your belt buckle between the side rails.
- Do not move the ladder while someone is on it.
- Keep the ladder clean and free of oil, grease, paint, and other slippery materials.
- Do not use the ladder near electrical wires or equipment due to the risk of electrocution, even though it is fiberglass.
3. Setup
Proper setup is crucial for safe ladder operation.
- Choose a Location: Select a flat, stable, and non-slippery surface for the ladder. Avoid soft ground, uneven terrain, or areas with debris.
- Open the Ladder: Grasp the side rails and fully extend the ladder until the spreader braces are completely locked into place. Ensure the ladder is stable and does not wobble.
- Check Feet: Verify that all four aluminum angle feet with their thick rubber treads are firmly in contact with the ground. The SHOX system provides impact absorption and stability.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these guidelines for safe and efficient use of your stepladder.
Climbing and Descending:
- Always face the ladder when climbing up or down.
- Maintain a firm grip on the side rails.
- Ensure your shoes are clean and free of mud or slippery substances.
- Do not carry heavy or bulky items that could cause you to lose balance. Use the Pro Top for tools.
Using the Pro Top:
The exclusive Pro Top system is designed to improve productivity by keeping your tools and materials organized and within reach.
- Utilize the integrated tool slots for screwdrivers, drills, and other hand tools.
- Place small hardware like screws or nails in the dedicated hardware tray or on the magnetic strip.
- The paint bucket holder can secure a paint can, reducing the need to carry it while climbing.
- The pipe or 2x4 holder allows for temporary securing of materials.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your ladder.
- Pre-Use Inspection: Before each use, visually inspect the ladder for any signs of damage, loose rivets, cracks in the fiberglass, or worn rubber feet.
- Cleaning: Clean the ladder regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the fiberglass or metal components. Ensure all steps and feet are free of dirt, mud, paint, or other slippery substances.
- Storage: Store the ladder in a dry, protected area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is stored in a way that prevents damage from falling objects or accidental impact.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all rivets and fasteners to ensure they are secure.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ladder, consider the following:
- Instability: Ensure the ladder is fully opened with spreader braces locked. Check that all four feet are on a level, firm surface. Adjust the ladder's position if necessary.
- Damaged Components: If any part of the ladder (rails, steps, feet, or hardware) appears damaged, do not use the ladder. Contact customer support for repair or replacement options.
- Slipping: Verify that the rubber treads on the feet are not excessively worn and are clean. Ensure the ground surface is not slippery.
