Setup and Connections

Placement

Place the CD changer on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

Connecting to Your Audio System

The PD-D2610 offers both analog RCA and digital optical audio outputs for connection to your amplifier or receiver.

  1. Analog Connection (RCA): Connect RCA audio cables (red for right, white for left) from the 'ANALOG AUDIO OUT' jacks on the rear of the PD-D2610 to an available analog input (e.g., 'CD', 'AUX') on your amplifier or receiver.
  2. Digital Connection (Optical): For higher fidelity, connect an optical audio cable from the 'OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT' jack on the rear of the PD-D2610 to a digital optical input on your amplifier or receiver.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the AC inlet on the rear of the unit, then into a standard AC wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button on the front panel to turn the unit on or off. The unit can also be powered on/off using the remote control.

Loading Discs

  1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
  2. Place up to five CDs onto the carousel, ensuring they are seated correctly in their respective slots with the label side facing up.
  3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray. The unit will begin reading the discs.

Playback Controls

  • Play (▶): Press to start playback.
  • Pause (⏸): Press to temporarily stop playback. Press again to resume.
  • Stop (■): Press to stop playback completely.
  • Skip Track (⏭︎ / ⏮︎): Press to skip to the next or previous track.
  • Fast Forward/Rewind (⏩ / ⏪): Press and hold to fast forward or rewind within a track.
  • Disc Select (1-5): Use the numbered buttons on the front panel or remote to directly select a disc.
  • Disc Skip: Press to skip to the next loaded disc in sequence.
  • Play Exchange: Allows you to open the disc tray and swap discs while another disc is playing, ensuring uninterrupted music.

Using the Remote Control

The included remote control provides full functionality for operating the PD-D2610 from a distance. Ensure the remote has fresh batteries (2x AA) and is pointed towards the front panel of the CD changer.

MP3 CD Playback

The PD-D2610 supports playback of MP3 files burned onto CD-R/RW discs. When an MP3 CD is inserted, the unit will read the disc and allow navigation through folders and tracks using the skip and fast forward/rewind controls.

Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  • Cleaning Discs: Handle CDs by their edges. If a disc is dirty, wipe it gently with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center outwards. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Laser Lens Care: The laser lens should not be cleaned manually. If playback issues persist due to a dirty lens, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the unit are not obstructed to prevent overheating.
