Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your My Weigh Triton T2 Digital Pocket Scale. The Triton T2 is a thin, durable, and accurate digital scale designed for precision weighing. Its compact size makes it highly portable, and the hard cover case doubles as an expansion tray for larger weighing tasks. This model is capable of weighing up to 550 grams with a precision of 0.1 grams.

Setup
- Battery Installation: The Triton T2 requires 2 AAA batteries (included). Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale, open it, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.
- Placement: Place the scale on a flat, stable, and level surface. Ensure the surface is free from vibrations, air currents, extreme temperatures, humidity, or dust, as these can affect weighing accuracy.
- Initial Power On: Turn the scale on using the power button. Allow the scale to perform its self-test and acclimate. The display will typically show "0.0" once ready for use.
- Using the Cover as an Expansion Tray: The hard cover of the scale is removable when fully open. It can be inverted and used as an expansion tray to accommodate larger items for weighing.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To turn the scale on, press the Power button (
). The display will light up and self-zero.
- The scale features an auto-shutoff function after approximately 90 seconds of non-use to conserve battery life.
- To manually turn the scale off, press and hold the Power button (
) until the display turns off.
Unit Conversion
- The Triton T2 can display measurements in multiple units.
- To cycle through available units (grams, ounces, pennyweight, troy ounces), press the UNIT button.
Tare Function
- The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or previous items, so you can weigh subsequent items accurately.
- Place the empty container on the weighing platform.
- Press the -0- button. The display will reset to "0.0", indicating the container's weight has been tared.
- You can now add items to the container, and the scale will display only the weight of the added items.
Calibration (Triton T2-200 Variant)
For optimal accuracy, periodic calibration is recommended. You will need an accurate 200g calibration weight (sold separately) for this process.
- Turn the scale OFF and place it on a flat, stable surface.
- Press and hold the CAL key, then press and release the -0- key. The display will show an A/D value (a series of random numbers).
- Press the -0- key again. The display will read "ZERO" and then "200.0".
- Gently place the correct 200g calibration weight on the tray and wait for 3 seconds.
- Press the -0- key. The display should show "CAL", "PASS", and then "200.0". Calibration is now complete. Remove the weight.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the scale. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
- Storage: Store the scale in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the protective cover closed to prevent dust and damage to the weighing platform.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display or if the scale does not power on.
Troubleshooting
- Inaccurate Readings / Wandering Display: The Triton T2 is highly sensitive. Slight vibrations, air currents, or temperature fluctuations can cause the display to wander. Ensure the scale is on a perfectly flat, stable surface and in a controlled environment. Wait for the readout to stabilize before taking a measurement.
- Scale Not Turning On: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- "EEEE" Error (Overload): This indicates that the scale's maximum capacity has been exceeded. Remove the weight immediately to prevent damage. For the 550g model, do not exceed 550g.
- Calibration Issues: If the scale displays "CAL" but does not proceed to "PASS", or if readings are consistently off, ensure you are using an accurate 200g calibration weight and following the calibration steps precisely.
