Setup and Preparation

Operating Instructions
Injector Removal Procedure
- Remove the injector hold-down bolt from the injector you wish to remove.
- Position the Injector Removal/Installation Bracket over the injector, aligning the appropriate cutout with the injector body. The bracket is designed to sit securely on the cylinder head.
- Thread the long Injector Puller/Installer Screw into the top of the injector. Ensure it is threaded in securely but do not overtighten.
- Insert the small retaining bolt through the hole in the bracket and into the threaded hole on the cylinder head where the injector hold-down bolt was removed. Tighten this small bolt to secure the bracket firmly to the cylinder head.
- Slowly turn the Injector Puller/Installer Screw clockwise using an appropriate wrench. As you turn the screw, it will pull the injector upwards and out of its bore. Continue turning until the injector is fully dislodged.
- Once the injector is free, carefully remove the tool components and the injector from the cylinder head.
- Repeat for all injectors requiring removal.
Injector Installation Procedure
- Ensure the injector bore in the cylinder head is clean and free of debris. Replace injector O-rings and copper washers as necessary.
- Carefully insert the new or reconditioned injector into its bore, ensuring it is oriented correctly. Push it in as far as it will go by hand.
- Place the Injector Seating Block on top of the injector.
- Position the Injector Removal/Installation Bracket over the injector and seating block, aligning the appropriate cutout.
- Thread the long Injector Puller/Installer Screw through the bracket and into the threaded hole on the Injector Seating Block.
- Insert the small retaining bolt through the hole in the bracket and into the threaded hole on the cylinder head. Tighten this small bolt to secure the bracket.
- Slowly turn the Injector Puller/Installer Screw clockwise. This will press the injector down into its bore until it is fully seated. Do not overtighten; apply firm, steady pressure until the injector is seated.
- Remove the tool components and install the original injector hold-down bolt, tightening it to the manufacturer's specified torque.
- Repeat for all injectors requiring installation.
- Reassemble all removed components (fuel lines, wiring, valve covers) according to your vehicle's service manual.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and proper function of your OTC 6067 kit:
- After each use, clean all components of the kit with a suitable degreaser or solvent to remove oil, fuel, and debris.
- Dry the components thoroughly to prevent rust.
- Apply a light coat of rust-preventative oil to all metal surfaces, especially the threaded screw.
