It is compatible with Nikon SLR cameras equipped with a 10-pin connector.

The remote features an integrated LCD display for programming and monitoring settings, along with dedicated buttons for various functions. Its robust design includes a secure screw-in connector for reliable attachment to your camera.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the MC-36 remote.
  2. Slide or unlatch the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included with the MC-36. The manual shutter release function can operate without batteries, but timer functions require power.

2.2 Connecting to Camera

  1. Locate the 10-pin remote terminal on your Nikon SLR camera. This is typically found on the front or side of the camera body.
  2. Align the MC-36's 10-pin connector with the camera's terminal.
  3. Gently push the connector into the terminal until it is fully seated.
  4. Rotate the metal screw-in adapter on the MC-36 connector clockwise to secure it firmly to the camera, preventing accidental disconnection.

  1. Delay (DELAY): Sets the time before the first exposure begins. Adjustable up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds.
  2. Long Exposure (LONG): Sets the duration of each exposure. Adjustable up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. This function is used for bulb exposures where the camera's shutter speed is set to 'Bulb'.
  3. Interval (INTVL): Sets the time between the start of one exposure and the start of the next. Adjustable up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. Ensure the interval is at least one second longer than the 'LONG' exposure time to allow for proper cycling.
  4. Number of Shots (N): Sets the total number of exposures to be taken. Adjustable from 1 to 999 shots.
