2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

3.1. Display Overview

The LCD display shows various information:

• Indoor Temperature: Displays the current temperature inside the room where the main unit is located.
• Outdoor Temperature: Displays the current temperature from the wireless outdoor sensor.
• Indoor Humidity: Shows the current humidity level indoors.
• Time: Displays the current time in HH:MM format.
• Date: Displays the current date (may require toggling).
• MIN/MAX Records: Indicates the minimum and maximum recorded temperatures and humidity.

3.2. Button Functions

The main unit features several buttons for control:

• IN/OUT / SET/CH Button:
  • Press to toggle between indoor and outdoor temperature display.
  • Press and hold to enter setup mode for time and date settings.
  • In setup mode, use to confirm selections or change channels for multiple sensors (if supported).
• MIN/MAX / + Button:
  • Press to view minimum and maximum recorded temperature and humidity values. Subsequent presses cycle through these records.
  • Press and hold to clear MIN/MAX records.
  • In setup mode, use to increase values or move forward through options.

3.3. Setting Time and Date

1. Press and hold the SET/CH button until the time display begins to flash.
2. Use the + button to adjust the flashing value (e.g., hour, minute).
3. Press the SET/CH button to confirm the setting and move to the next adjustable parameter.
4. Continue this process for all time and date settings (e.g., 12/24 hour format, year, month, day).
5. Once all settings are complete, the unit will return to normal display mode.

To view the minimum and maximum recorded indoor/outdoor temperatures and indoor humidity:

1. Press the MIN/MAX button once to display the maximum recorded values.
2. Press the MIN/MAX button again to display the minimum recorded values.
3. Press the MIN/MAX button a third time to return to the current readings.
4. To clear the MIN/MAX records, press and hold the MIN/MAX button while the records are displayed.

4.1. Battery Replacement

Replace batteries in both the main unit and the outdoor sensor when the display becomes dim or readings become erratic. It is recommended to replace all batteries at the same time to ensure consistent performance. Always use fresh batteries of the specified type.

Clean the unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic casing or the display. Ensure no moisture enters the battery compartments or electronic components.

4.3. Sensor Care

Periodically check the outdoor sensor for any debris, dust, or insect nests that might obstruct its ventilation openings. Keep the sensor away from direct exposure to extreme weather conditions that could damage it.

• No Display / Dim Display:

  Check battery polarity. Replace old or weak batteries with fresh ones. Ensure battery contacts are clean.

• No Outdoor Temperature Reading:

  Ensure batteries are correctly installed in the outdoor sensor. Move the outdoor sensor closer to the main unit. Check for sources of interference (e.g., other electronic devices, thick walls). Try re-synchronizing by removing and reinserting batteries in both units.

• Inaccurate Readings:

  Ensure the outdoor sensor is placed in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Verify that the main unit is not near heat-emitting appliances or direct drafts.
• Time Not Keeping Correctly:

  Re-set the time manually. Replace batteries if the issue persists, as low battery power can affect timekeeping.
