This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sirius SPB1 Sportster Boombox. This unit is designed to complement your Sirius Sportster SPR1 satellite radio receiver (sold separately), allowing you to enjoy satellite radio in various indoor and outdoor settings.

Setup
1. Inserting the Sirius Sportster Tuner
The SPB1 boombox is designed for use with the Sirius Sportster SPR1 plug-and-play tuner (sold separately).
- Gently open the cradle cover on the top of the boombox.
- Align your Sportster SPR1 tuner with the connector in the cradle.
- Carefully push the tuner down until it is securely seated in the dock.
- Close the cradle cover to protect the tuner.

2. Connecting the Antenna
For optimal satellite radio reception, connect the included indoor/outdoor antenna.
- Locate the antenna input port on the boombox.
- Connect the antenna cable to this port.
- Position the antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, such as near a window or outdoors. The boombox features a built-in compartment for antenna storage when not in use.

3. Powering the Boombox
The SPB1 boombox can be powered by the included AC adapter or by batteries.
AC Power:
- Connect the AC adapter to the DC input jack on the boombox.
- Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
Battery Power:
- Open the battery compartment on the underside of the boombox.
- Insert 8 "D" batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the Power button located on the boombox or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.

2. Volume Control
Adjust the listening volume using the Volume controls on the boombox or the remote control. The volume can also be controlled by the SPR1 receiver's remote control.

3. Input Selection (Satellite Radio / Auxiliary)
Press the Source or Mode button (if available) on the boombox to toggle between the docked satellite radio signal and an external audio input source.
4. Auxiliary Input
To connect an external audio device (e.g., CD player, MP3 player):
- Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable from your external device's audio output to the AUX IN jack on the front panel of the boombox.
- Select the Auxiliary input source on the boombox.
5. Headphone Jack
For private listening, plug standard 3.5 mm headphones into the Headphone jack on the front panel.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the boombox. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Antenna Care: When transporting or storing the boombox, ensure the antenna is properly stored in its compartment to prevent damage.
- Battery Replacement: If using battery power, replace all 8 "D" batteries when the power indicator shows low battery or the unit ceases to function. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
- Storage: Store the boombox in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
