Setup
Unpacking
Carefully remove the speakers from their packaging. Inspect both units for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging materials for potential future transport or service.
Placement
For optimal sound performance, place the speakers on a stable, flat surface, such as a tabletop or dedicated speaker stands. Ensure there is adequate space around each speaker to allow for proper bass reflex operation. Avoid placing speakers in enclosed spaces or directly against walls, which can negatively impact sound quality.

Connections
- Ensure your amplifier or receiver is turned off before making any connections.
- Connect the speaker cables to the gold-plated brass speaker terminals on the rear of each D-102EXG speaker. Match the positive (+) terminal on the speaker to the positive (+) terminal on your amplifier, and the negative (-) terminal on the speaker to the negative (-) terminal on your amplifier.
- Tighten the terminals securely to prevent loose connections. The terminals are compatible with bare wire or banana plugs.
- Connect the other end of the speaker cables to the corresponding speaker output terminals on your amplifier or receiver.
Operating
Initial Power On
After all connections are made, turn on your amplifier or receiver. Start with the volume at its lowest setting and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level. Ensure both speakers are producing sound clearly and without distortion.
Listening Environment
The sound quality can be influenced by the room acoustics. Experiment with speaker placement and listening position to find the optimal setup for your environment.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the speaker cabinets, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water and wipe gently. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish.
Grilles
The speaker grilles protect the drivers from dust and physical damage. They can be removed for cleaning or for a different aesthetic preference. Handle them carefully to avoid bending or tearing the fabric.
Storage
If storing the speakers for an extended period, place them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound: Check all cable connections between the speakers and the amplifier. Ensure the amplifier is powered on and the correct input source is selected. Verify that the volume is not set to minimum or muted.
- Distorted Sound: Reduce the volume level on your amplifier. Check for loose speaker wire connections. Ensure the speaker cables are not damaged.
- One Speaker Not Working: Swap the speaker cables between the left and right channels at the amplifier. If the problem moves to the other speaker, the issue is likely with the amplifier or cable. If the same speaker remains silent, the issue is with the speaker itself.
- Poor Bass Response: Ensure speakers are not placed too far from walls or in an overly large, undamped room. Check for proper phase connection (positive to positive, negative to negative).
If you continue to experience issues, consult a qualified audio technician.
