5.1 Powering On

  1. After installation and ensuring the glue board and UV lamps are correctly in place, plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. The UV lamps will illuminate, indicating the unit is operational.

5.2 How it Works

The UV light emitted by the lamps attracts flying insects. Once attracted, the insects fly towards the light and become trapped on the adhesive surface of the glue board located inside the unit. This method provides discreet and hygienic insect control.

UV lamps have a limited lifespan and their effectiveness diminishes over time, even if they still glow. It is recommended to replace them annually for optimal insect attraction.

  2. Open the front cover.
  3. Gently twist and pull the old UV lamps from their sockets.
  4. Insert new UV lamps into the sockets, ensuring they are securely seated. Note that newer GT200 models do not require separate starters for the bulbs.
  5. Close the front cover and plug the unit back in.

6.3 Cleaning the Unit

Periodically wipe the exterior of the unit with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids directly onto the unit.
