Setup and First Use

  1. Before First Use: Wash the freezer bowl, mixing paddle, and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts completely. The motor base should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
  2. Prepare the Freezer Bowl: Place the empty freezer bowl in the back of your freezer for at least 8-12 hours, or until completely frozen. The bowl contains a special cooling liquid between its double walls that needs to be fully frozen for proper operation. Ensure your freezer is set to 0°F (-18°C) or colder.
  3. Prepare Your Recipe: Prepare your ice cream, gelato, or sorbet mixture according to your chosen recipe. For best results, ensure your mixture is thoroughly chilled (refrigerated for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight) before adding it to the machine. This helps achieve a faster and more consistent freezing process.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to make your frozen dessert:

  1. Assemble the Machine:
    • Place the motor base on a clean, flat, dry surface.
    • Insert the frozen freezer bowl into the motor base.
    • Place the mixing paddle into the center of the freezer bowl, ensuring it sits correctly.
    • Place the transparent lid on top of the freezer bowl and twist clockwise until it locks securely into place.
  2. Start Churning: Plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet. Turn the on/off control dial to the "ON" position. The mixing paddle will begin to rotate.
  3. Add Ingredients: Immediately pour your chilled ice cream mixture through the opening in the transparent lid.
  4. Churning Process: Allow the machine to churn for 20-40 minutes, or until the mixture reaches your desired consistency. The churning time may vary depending on the recipe and the initial temperature of your mixture. The mixture will thicken and expand as it churns.
  5. Add Mix-ins: If adding solid mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit, add them during the last 5 minutes of the churning process through the lid opening.
  6. Finish: Once the desired consistency is reached, turn the control dial to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit. Remove the lid and mixing paddle. Use a rubber spatula or wooden spoon to scrape the finished dessert from the freezer bowl into an airtight container.
  7. Hardening (Optional): For a firmer consistency, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and place it in the freezer for 2-4 hours.

Note: The machine is designed to produce soft-serve consistency ice cream. For harder ice cream, additional freezing time in a separate container is required.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your ice cream maker.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  2. Clean the Freezer Bowl, Mixing Paddle, and Lid: Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Use a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
  3. Clean the Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
  4. Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing. Store the freezer bowl in the freezer so it's ready for your next batch. Store the unit in a cool, dry place.
