5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

  1. Insert the DC plug of the supplied power adapter into the DC IN socket on the rear of the radio.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The radio will power on automatically or enter standby mode.

5.2 Antenna Adjustment

For optimal reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the unit. Adjust its position for the best signal quality, especially in DAB mode.

5.3 Initial DAB Scan

Upon first power-on, the radio will automatically perform a full scan for available DAB stations. This process may take a few minutes. Once complete, the first available station will begin playing.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power button (often integrated with the tuning knob or a dedicated button) to switch the radio on or off (standby mode).

6.2 Mode Selection (DAB/FM)

Press the Mode button (or a similarly labeled function button) to switch between DAB Digital Radio and FM Radio modes.

6.3 Tuning

DAB Mode:

  1. In DAB mode, rotate the Tuning Knob to scroll through the list of available stations.
  2. Press the Tuning Knob to select and play the desired station.

FM Mode:

  1. In FM mode, rotate the Tuning Knob to manually tune to a frequency.
  2. Press and hold the Tuning Knob (or a dedicated scan button) to automatically scan for the next available station.

6.4 Preset Stations

The radio supports 8 programmable preset stations (4 for DAB, 4 for FM).

To Store a Preset:

  1. Tune to the desired DAB or FM station.
  2. Press and hold one of the Preset Buttons (1-4) until the display confirms the station has been saved.

To Recall a Preset:

  1. Briefly press the desired Preset Button (1-4) to switch to the stored station.

6.5 Volume Control

Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to increase or decrease the audio volume.

6.6 Clock and Alarm Functions

The radio features a built-in clock and alarm functions. Refer to the on-screen menu options for setting the time and configuring alarms. Typically, this involves navigating the menu using the Tuning Knob and selecting options with a press.

6.7 Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the radio to turn off automatically after a set period. Access the Sleep function via the menu or a dedicated button, then select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes).

6.8 Headphone Use

Plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the Headphone Jack on the rear panel for private listening. The internal speakers will automatically mute.

6.9 AUX Input (If applicable)

If your model includes an AUX input, you can connect external audio devices (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select the AUX mode on the radio to play audio from the connected device.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the radio's surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

7.2 Storage

If storing the radio for an extended period, disconnect it from the power supply and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
