Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Assemble Telescoping Pole: Extend the telescoping pole to your desired height and secure it. The integrated garment hanger should be at the top.
- Attach Hose: Connect the flexible hose to the designated port on the main unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the base. Fill it with clean, distilled water only, up to the maximum fill line. Using distilled water helps prevent mineral buildup and extends the life of the steamer. Reinsert the water tank firmly into the base.
- Position Steamer: Place the steamer on a flat, stable surface. The rolling casters allow for easy movement.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: Press the power switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating up.
- Heat Up Time: The steamer will begin to emit steam in approximately 45 seconds. Wait for a steady stream of steam before beginning.
- Prepare Garment: Hang the garment you wish to steam on the integrated garment hanger. For curtains or drapes, you can steam them in place.
- Steaming Technique: Hold the steam nozzle a few inches away from the fabric. Move the nozzle in a downward motion, allowing the steam to penetrate the fibers and relax wrinkles. For stubborn wrinkles, you can gently press the nozzle against the fabric.
- Using the Fabric Brush: For heavier fabrics or to remove lint, attach the fabric brush to the steam nozzle. Move the brush over the fabric while steaming. Remove the brush for delicate or smooth fabrics.
- Continuous Steam: The steamer provides up to 40 minutes of continuous steam on a full tank.
- Automatic Shut-Off: The unit features a low water auto shut-off for safety. If the water level becomes too low, the steamer will automatically turn off. Refill the water tank and restart the unit if this occurs.
- Finish Steaming: Once you have finished steaming, press the power switch to turn off the unit and unplug it from the outlet.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your steamer.
- Empty Water Tank: After each use, allow the unit to cool completely. Then, remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Drain Base: For thorough draining, use the convenient drain plug located at the base of the unit to empty any residual water from the internal reservoir.
- Cleaning the Tank: If water becomes cloudy or residue builds up, clean the water tank. You may use a small amount of bleach diluted in water, rinse thoroughly, and then rinse again with clean water.
- Storage: The telescoping design allows for compact storage. Collapse the pole and store the steamer in a dry, cool place.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your steamer, refer to the following common solutions:
- No Steam/Unit Not Turning On:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the water tank is properly filled and seated. The unit has a low water auto shut-off feature.
- Verify that the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
- If the unit has shut off unexpectedly, check your electrical circuit. High-wattage appliances can sometimes trip circuit breakers. Reset the unit by turning it off and on again.
- Water Sputtering from Nozzle:
- Avoid tilting the hose too far forward, as this can cause condensation to accumulate and lead to sputtering.
- Ensure you are using distilled water to minimize mineral buildup that can affect steam production.
- Reduced Steam Output:
- Mineral buildup can reduce steam output over time. Regularly clean the unit as described in the Maintenance section.
- Ensure the water tank is adequately filled.
