1. Introduction
The OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS Stylus 105 is a compact 35mm film camera designed for ease of use and reliable performance in various conditions. Featuring an all-weather design, it is built to withstand rain, snow, sea spray, and blowing sand, making it suitable for outdoor photography.
Key features include a versatile 38-105mm 2.8x zoom lens, an advanced 11-point autofocus system, and a 6-mode variable power flash with red-eye reduction. 2. Setup
2.1. Battery Installation
The Stylus 105 uses a 123-type Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery. Ensure the camera is powered off before installing or replacing batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the side or bottom of the camera.
- Open the cover by sliding or lifting the latch.
- Insert the battery according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.
2.2. Film Loading
The camera features automatic film loading.
- Open the camera back cover by sliding the latch on the side.
- Place a 35mm film cartridge into the film chamber, ensuring the film leader is aligned with the orange mark.
- Close the camera back cover firmly. The camera will automatically advance the film to the first frame. The frame counter will display '1'.

3. Operating the Camera
3.1. Powering On/Off
To power on the camera, slide the lens barrier open. To power off, slide the lens barrier closed.
3.2. Taking a Picture
- Power on the camera.
- Look through the viewfinder to compose your shot.
- Use the zoom buttons (W for wide, T for telephoto) to adjust the focal length (38mm-105mm).
- Press the shutter button halfway down to activate the autofocus and exposure systems. The camera will confirm focus.
- Press the shutter button fully down to take the picture. The film will automatically advance to the next frame.
3.3. Flash Modes
The built-in pop-up flash offers multiple modes, including red-eye reduction and auto color balancing. Refer to the camera's display for current flash mode indicators.
3.4. Camera Shake Indicator
The Stylus 105 features a camera shake indicator. If shake is detected, the camera may prompt you to steady it or automatically adjust to a faster shutter speed to minimize blur.

4. Maintenance
- Keep the lens clean using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
- Wipe the camera body with a dry, soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
- Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
- Despite its all-weather design, avoid intentionally submerging the camera in water.

5. Troubleshooting
