Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the Workmate WM125 is required. Please ensure you have the following tools and take all necessary safety precautions before beginning:

  • Hammer
  • Flat-blade screwdriver
  • Phillips-head screwdriver (recommended for bolts with Phillips pattern)
  • Included nut driver

Step 1: Assemble the Leg Frames

Identify pieces L and R (the main leg frames). Secure the cross-braces (part Z) to the legs using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure all connections are tightened securely to prevent movement during use.

Step 2: Attach the Vise Mechanism

Position the main vise mechanism (part N) and the handle assembly (part K with part L) onto the leg frames. Align the holes and insert the pins, securing them with a hammer. It is recommended to perform this step on a protected surface to avoid damage to flooring.

Step 3: Install the Sliding Blocks and Wooden Jaws

Insert the sliding blocks into the vise mechanism. The front block has a piece that fits into a hole, and the back block fits into part N. Then, place the wooden jaws (part X) onto the sliding blocks, ensuring the recessed areas align with the bolts. Tighten all bolts securely using the nut driver.

Step 4: Attach Rubber Feet

Turn the workbench over and firmly press the rubber feet onto the bottom of each leg. Ensure the long side of the rubber feet is on the outside for proper stability.

Operating Instructions

Clamping Objects

To clamp an object, turn the handle to adjust the vise jaws. The adjustable swivel pegs can be inserted into the holes on the wooden jaws to accommodate irregularly shaped materials, providing a secure grip.

Folding for Storage

The Workmate is designed to fold flat for easy storage. Release any clamped objects, then follow the instructions in reverse order or consult the included manual for specific folding mechanisms.

  • Regularly inspect all bolts and nuts for tightness and re-tighten as needed.
  • Keep the wooden jaws clean and free of debris.
  • Store the workbench in a dry environment to prevent rust on metal parts and warping of wooden components.

Troubleshooting
