Setup

Attaching the Side Handle

The grinder is equipped with a 2-position side handle for enhanced comfort and control. Screw the side handle firmly into either of the two threaded holes on the gear housing, depending on your preferred working position.

Installing/Changing the Grinding Wheel

  1. Ensure the grinder is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Press and hold the spindle lock button located on the gear housing.
  3. Using the provided spanner wrench, loosen and remove the outer flange nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
  4. Remove the old grinding wheel (if applicable).
  5. Place the new 4-1/2 inch grinding wheel onto the inner flange, ensuring it sits flush.
  6. Replace the outer flange nut and tighten it securely with the spanner wrench while holding the spindle lock button. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

To turn the grinder ON, slide the power switch forward. To turn it OFF, slide the switch backward. Some models may feature a lock-on button for continuous operation; engage this feature only when necessary and maintain a firm grip.

Grinding and Cutting

Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. Hold the grinder firmly with both hands. Allow the tool to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece. Apply light, even pressure and move the grinder smoothly across the surface. Avoid excessive pressure, which can reduce control and damage the wheel or tool. Always direct sparks away from yourself and others.
