Maintenance and Care

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Marker not writing or ink is faint.Cap left off, ink dried out, or low ink level.Ensure cap is always replaced. Try gently pressing the tip on a scrap piece of paper to re-prime. If still faint, the marker may be empty and needs replacement.
Ink smudges after writing. Not enough drying time, especially on non-porous surfaces.Allow more time for the ink to dry completely before touching the marked surface. Drying time varies by surface.
Tip appears frayed or damaged.Excessive pressure during use or improper storage.Use lighter pressure when writing. Ensure markers are stored horizontally. A damaged tip cannot be repaired, and the marker should be replaced for optimal performance.
