Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the recorder.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Microcassette Insertion
- Press the EJECT button to open the cassette compartment.
- Insert a microcassette tape with the exposed tape facing the recording head and the side to be recorded (A or B) facing up.
- Gently close the cassette compartment until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions
Recording
- Ensure a microcassette is inserted and batteries are installed.
- Slide the REC/BATT switch to the REC position. The recording indicator will light up.
- To use Voice Operated Recording (VOR), slide the VOR switch to ON. Recording will start automatically when sound is detected and pause during silence.
- To stop recording, slide the REC/BATT switch to OFF or press the STOP button.
Playback
- Ensure a recorded microcassette is inserted.
- Press the PLAY button. The recording will begin to play through the built-in speaker.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control.
- To stop playback, press the STOP button.
- Use the REW (Rewind) and FF (Fast Forward) buttons to navigate through the tape.
Connecting to a Computer (for audio transfer)
To transfer audio from the microcassette recorder to a computer, you will need a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). This cable connects the earphone jack of the recorder to the microphone input of your computer. This method provides a clearer audio transfer by bypassing ambient room noise that would be picked up by the computer's built-in microphone.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the recording head and pinch roller with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the device is powered off and batteries are removed before cleaning.
