1. Introduction

In Luigi's Mansion, you assume the role of Luigi, who must explore a haunted mansion to rescue his brother, Mario. 2. Setup
To begin playing Luigi's Mansion, ensure you have a Nintendo GameCube console, a compatible GameCube controller, and a GameCube Memory Card for saving game progress.
- Insert the Game Disc: Open the disc tray of your Nintendo GameCube console. Carefully place the Luigi's Mansion game disc into the tray with the label facing upwards. Close the disc tray.
- Connect Controller and Memory Card: Plug your GameCube controller into one of the controller ports on the front of the console. Insert a GameCube Memory Card into one of the memory card slots.
- Power On: Connect your GameCube console to a power source and your television. Press the POWER button on the console to turn it on.
- Start Game: The GameCube menu should appear. Select the Luigi's Mansion icon to start the game.

3. Operating Instructions
Luigi's Mansion involves exploring a haunted house, capturing ghosts, and solving environmental puzzles.
3.1 Basic Controls
- Control Stick: Move Luigi.
- A Button: Interact with objects, open doors.
- B Button: Use flashlight.
- X Button: Activate Poltergust 3000 (vacuum).
- Y Button: View map.
- C Stick: Adjust camera, aim Poltergust.
3.2 Ghost Capturing
To capture ghosts, follow these steps:
- Stun the Ghost: Shine your flashlight (B Button) on the ghost. Most ghosts will become temporarily stunned, revealing their heart.
- Vacuum the Ghost: Once stunned, activate the Poltergust 3000 (X Button) to begin vacuuming the ghost.
- Resist and Capture: The ghost will try to escape. Use the Control Stick to pull in the opposite direction the ghost is moving. Continue to vacuum until the ghost's health (indicated by a number above it) reaches zero and it is fully absorbed into the Poltergust.
3.3 Mansion Exploration
- Keys: Progress through the mansion by finding keys to unlock new rooms. The map (Y Button) will indicate which doors a found key opens.
- Treasures: Vacuuming objects, opening drawers, and defeating ghosts will often reveal coins, bills, and gold bars, which contribute to your score.
- Boos: Track down and capture all Boos in the mansion to access the final areas. The Boo meter on your Game Boy Horror (in-game device) helps locate them.
- Elemental Medals: Discover special medals that grant the Poltergust 3000 elemental powers (fire, water, ice) to solve specific puzzles and defeat certain ghosts.
4. Maintenance
Proper care of your game disc will ensure its longevity and optimal performance.
- Disc Handling: Always hold the disc by its edges. Avoid touching the reflective surface.
- Disc Storage: Store the disc in its original case when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches.
- Cleaning: If the disc becomes dirty, gently wipe the reflective surface with a soft, lint-free cloth. Wipe from the center outwards in a straight line. Do not use abrasive cleaners or circular motions.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or excessive humidity.

5. Troubleshooting

- Game Not Loading/Freezing:
