Game Setup
- Place the Game Board: Unfold the game board and place it on a flat playing surface. The board depicts a map of Central London with numbered stations and various transportation routes (taxi, bus, underground).
- Choose Roles: One player is designated as Mister X. The remaining players act as detectives. The game is designed for 3 to 6 players.
- Distribute Starting Cards: Shuffle the starting station cards and each player (including Mister X) draws one to determine their initial position on the board. Place your playing figure on the corresponding numbered station.
- Mister X's Equipment: Mister X receives the logbook, a pencil, and the visor. The visor is used to prevent other players from seeing Mister X's secret movements in the logbook.
- Detective's Equipment: Each detective receives a set of travel tickets: 10 Taxi tickets, 8 Bus tickets, and 4 Underground tickets.
- Prepare Travel Tickets: Place the remaining travel tickets (Taxi, Bus, Underground) and the 2x tickets in a common pool accessible to all players.

How to Play
Objective
- Mister X's Objective: To evade capture by the detectives for 24 moves.
- Detectives' Objective: To move to the same location as Mister X and capture him before he completes 24 moves.
Gameplay Overview
The game proceeds in rounds, with Mister X moving first, followed by each detective in turn.
Mister X's Turn
- Mister X secretly chooses a connected station on the board and moves their figure there.
- Mister X records the chosen station number and the type of transportation used (Taxi, Bus, Underground, or 2x) in their logbook, keeping it hidden from other players.
- Mister X places the used travel ticket face-up on the board in the designated area, providing a clue to the detectives about the type of transport used, but not the exact location.
- Mister X only reveals their location on specific moves (moves 3, 8, 13, 18, and 24). On these turns, Mister X places their playing figure on the board at their current location for all players to see, then removes it for subsequent secret moves.
- Mister X has a special "2x" ticket which allows them to make two consecutive moves in one turn, using two tickets. This move is also recorded in the logbook.

Detectives' Turn
- Detectives discuss and plan their moves cooperatively to try and deduce Mister X's location.
- Each detective chooses a connected station and moves their playing figure to that location.
- The detective must use a travel ticket corresponding to the type of route taken (Taxi, Bus, or Underground). The used ticket is given to Mister X.
- Detectives' movements are always visible to all players.

Ending the Game
- Detectives Win: If a detective moves to the same station as Mister X, Mister X is captured, and the detectives win the game.
- Mister X Wins: If Mister X successfully completes 24 moves without being caught by any detective, Mister X wins the game.
Care and Storage
- Store all game components in their original box to prevent loss or damage.
- Keep the game away from moisture and extreme temperatures to preserve the integrity of the board and cards.
- Wipe components with a dry, soft cloth if necessary. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Catching Mister X: Ensure detectives are communicating effectively and coordinating their movements to cover potential escape routes. Review the rules for Mister X's revealed locations to maximize strategic planning.
- Mister X is Caught Too Easily: Mister X should utilize the different transportation types strategically and make use of the 2x ticket to create unpredictable movements. Ensure the visor is used to prevent accidental clues.
