Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: main unit, two speakers, remote control, and power cord. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Speaker Connection
Connect the speaker wires from each speaker to the corresponding speaker terminals on the rear of the main unit. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) for optimal sound quality.
3. Power Connection
Plug the power cord into the AC inlet on the back of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V, 60Hz). Ensure the power outlet is easily accessible.
4. Remote Control Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the POWER button on the main unit or remote control to turn the system on or off.
2. CD Playback
- Press the CD button to select the CD function.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place up to three CDs on the trays with the label side up.
- Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback.
- Use SKIP buttons to navigate tracks and STOP to end playback.
3. Cassette Playback/Recording
- Press the TAPE button to select the cassette function.
- Press the OPEN/EJECT button for Deck A or Deck B to open the cassette door.
- Insert a cassette tape.
- Press PLAY to start playback.
- To record, insert a blank tape into Deck B, select the desired source (CD, Tuner), and press RECORD on Deck B.
4. Radio Tuning
Press the TUNER button to select the radio function. Use the TUNING +/- buttons to manually tune to a station or PRESET +/- to select a preset station.
5. Sound Adjustment
Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob or buttons. Use the SUPER T-BASS button for enhanced bass response.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Unit
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and mild detergent, then wipe dry.
2. CD Lens Cleaning
If CD playback issues occur, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc to clean the optical pickup lens. Do not attempt to clean the lens manually.
3. Cassette Head Cleaning
Regularly clean the cassette heads, pinch rollers, and capstans using a cotton swab lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol. This prevents sound degradation and tape damage.
4. Storage
When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power cord and store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
