Setup

  3. Cord Management: The unit features integrated cord storage. Unwind only the necessary length of cord and plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet.

  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the can opener with a damp cloth. The cutting lever can be removed for cleaning (refer to the Maintenance section).

Operating Instructions

Opening Cans

  1. Position the Can: Lift the cutting lever. Place the can under the guide post, ensuring the rim of the can is positioned between the cutting blade and the drive wheel. The guide post is designed to assist in aligning cans for proper operation.

  2. Engage the Blade: Press the cutting lever down firmly until the cutting blade pierces the can lid. The can opener will automatically start cutting.
  3. Automatic Operation: The can opener will rotate the can automatically, cutting around the lid. It is designed to handle various can sizes, including extra-tall cans.

  4. Remove the Can: Once the can is fully opened, the can opener will automatically shut off. The lid will be held by a magnet. Lift the cutting lever to release the can and carefully remove the lid.

Using the Knife Sharpener

  1. Locate Sharpener: The knife sharpener is located on the rear of the can opener.
  2. Position Knife: Hold the knife with the blade edge facing down. Insert the knife blade into the sharpening slot at a slight angle.
  3. Sharpening: With light, even pressure, draw the knife blade through the slot several times, from heel to tip. Repeat on both sides of the blade for optimal sharpness.

  4. Clean Blade: After sharpening, carefully wipe the knife blade with a damp cloth to remove any metal shavings.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the can opener is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
