Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

2. Battery Installation

The Vivitar V3800N requires two 1.5V LR44 or SR44 batteries to power the light meter and LED display. The camera can operate mechanically without batteries for basic functions, but accurate exposure metering requires them.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera body.
2. Use a coin to unscrew the battery compartment cover counter-clockwise.
3. Insert two LR44 or SR44 batteries, ensuring the positive (+) side faces outwards as indicated inside the compartment.

3. Film Loading

4. Lens Attachment

The Vivitar V3800N uses a Nikon F-mount (PK mount compatible). To attach the 28-70mm lens:

1. Remove the rear lens cap and the camera body cap.

2. Focusing

The V3800N features a bright viewfinder with a split-image focusing screen and microprism collar for precise manual focusing.
